The kitchen blender is used daily to puree soups, fresh fruits or nutritious vegetables. Although you may find these delicious, you probably hate hand washing the appliance after use.
Are you tired of scrubbing out your blender pitcher? If so, you might want to know that there is a quick and easy way to clean your blender. The secret is to do it right after you use it. This method takes less time and less effort to have the machine shining again.
You don’t need to take the blender pitcher apart. For a super easy and fast cleanup try this:
Pour hot water (from the tap or a kettle) into the blender pitcher to fill it about halfway. Then, add a few drops of dish soap. Turn the blender on for about 20 seconds. Pour out the liquid. Rinse out the pitcher with hot water and air dry. That’s it.
For stubborn build-up, you can also add a few drops of vinegar or lemon juice to the cleaning mixture. If you make some greasy smoothies in the blender, it may take several passes with the treatment. Lemon is also the solution, if there are stains on the blender container due to hard water build-up. Both, vinegar or lemon could be used to cut through the scum and the cloudy film, but lemon smells better.
However, this cleaning method is advisable to be used for quick cleaning after basic tasks, but it does not replace regular deep cleaning of your blender. You still have to take the pitcher apart from time to time and clean the blades and any gunk hanging out under the rubber ring.
